With 12 nominations, 'The Power of the Dog' is the most nominated film for the 94th Academy Awards. 'Belfast,' 'Dune,' 'King Richard,' and 'West Side Story,' among others, received top nominations.

The 94th Academy Awards nominees were announced Tuesday morning, with The Power of the Dog leading the pack. The film received 12 nominations, including best picture, best director for Jane Campion, and acting nominations for Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.

Dune comes in second with ten nominations, including best picture, but is absent from the directing and acting categories. West Side Story and Belfast each received seven nominations, while King Richard received six nominations. These three will also compete for best picture in a category with a total of ten nominees: CODA, Don't Look Up, Drive My Car, Licorice Pizza, and Nightmare Alley.

Nominees were announced for all 23 categories, including best picture, best director, and acting categories, as well as crafts categories such as best sound, best production design, best makeup and hairstyling, and best visual effects. The event was hosted by Leslie Jordan and Tracee Ellis Ross.
