Baba Vanga's disturbing predictions for 2022: Blind Bulgarian mystic prophecies that will surprise all of you

Baba Vanga, a blind mystic known as the Balkan Nostradamus, is credited with foreseeing the rise of Islamic State, Brexit, and even the 9/11 attacks in New York.

The mystic died in 1996 at the age of 85, but not before allegedly making predictions up until the year 5079, when she predicted the end of the world.

Each year's prophecies are revealed before the beginning of January, but there are always questions about which ones she made herself because they were never written down.

While not all of her predictions have come true, and a 2012 investigation found that many of her prophecies were made by Russian social media trolls, her eerie predictions continue to fascinate. She died in 1996 at the age of 85, but her predictions for the future were left behind.

In 2021, she reportedly predicted a cancer cure, an assassination attempt on Vladimir Putin, and a "dragon seizing humanity," which some speculate could be a reference to China's rising power.

For 2022, there were six concerning events the clairvoyant predicted would unfold.

1. Increase in floods in eastern region

Floods are expected to hit several Asian countries, including Australia, according to Baba.

Given that the Bureau of Meteorology has declared the return of La Nina conditions, which raise the risk of tropical cyclones and flooding in Australia, Baba's prediction appears to be correct. Weather patterns are also changing in almost all of world's regions in these few years with western countries welcoming heat waves in summers.

2. In Siberia, a lethal virus

After almost two years of living with the Covid pandemic, Baba believes that a lethal virus that was previously frozen in Siberia will be released as a result of climate change.

Scientists discovered alarming cracks in a massive glacier in Antarctica in December, and the World Health Organization dispatched a rapid response taskforce to South Sudan to investigate a mysterious illness that has killed at least 89 people, so Baba could be correct once more.

3. Drinking water scarcity

Baba believes that many cities will face difficulties in obtaining drinking water, which experts have been warning about for some time. With increase depletion of drinking water resource many scientists are predicting that world will hit a massive famine and drought in the coming years.

With US and other western countries expected to be hit with droght's in the coming years.  

4. Alien encounter on Earth

We have already seen enough of Alien invasion movies in these few decades that a real alien invasion would not be a surprise to many of us.

This seems a little more far-fetched, but according to Baba, aliens will send an asteroid named "Oumuamua" to Earth to see if there is life. When they arrive, they may take prisoners.

5. Locusts in India

People in India will be hoping Baba is wrong, as she predicts temperatures of 50 degrees Celsius, with locusts attacking crops and farms, resulting in a massive famine.

Last year Asian countries like India and Pakistan, faced massive loss of crops because of unexpected locusts invasions. These attacks are surprisingly increasing in eastern countries in past few years. Are we in for another locusts invasion this year??

6. Loss of sense of reality

Baba died in 1996 at the age of 85 and was blind, but it appears that she foresaw virtual reality taking over our lives. She predicted that people would be drawn into a downward spiral as a result of their growing dependence on technology, which would cause them to mix fantasy and reality. The metaverse suddenly appears to be a little less appealing.

Bonus: Baba also predicted that Earth's orbit will change (no one really knows what this means) in 2023, so if we make it through 2022, we'll have something to look forward to.
